Zusammenfassung

Die Entwicklung der Verwandtschaftsforschung an Samenpflanzen in den Berichtsjahren 1969–1970 wird am besten ersichtlich aus den “Abstracts” und “Proceedings” des XI. Internationalen Botanischen Kongresses, Seattle 1969, aus Symposiumberichten über Biosystematik (EHRENDORFER, 1; Taxon 20, 3–130, 1971), aus Übersichtsreferaten (STAFLEU; TAKHTAJAN, 2) und Lehrbüchern (SOLBRIG; “Strasburger”, 30. Aufl.: EHRENDORFER, 6, 7). Erfolgreiche methodische Durchbrüche zeichnen sich vor allem ab hinsichtlich der Auswertung von elektronenmikroskopischen Feinstrukturen (S. 245f.), Aminosäuren- bzw. Nucleotidsequenzen in Enzymen bzw. DNS (S. 250), der DNS-Replikation bzw. -Elimination im Zusammenhang mit Veränderungen der Chromosomenmasse und -struktur (S. 251 f.), von Populationsmodellen (S. 255f.) und Ergebnissen der vergleichenden Physiologie (z.B. Mineralstoffwechsel, Photosynthese, S. 259f.).
