Zusammenfassung

Ellis und van Creveld beschrieben 1940 anhand von drei Beobachtungen diesen Symptomenkomplex, den sie durch Ektodermaldysplasie, Polydaktylie, Chondrodysplasie und kongenitalen Herzfehler charakterisiert fanden. Es wurden bisher mindestens 41 derartige Beobachtungen bekannt, über die zuletzt Ellis zusammenfassend 1962 berichtete. Eine ausführliche Zusammenstellung in deutscher Sprache stammt von Weyers 1956.
