Zusammenfassung

Das Holz einer in Polen gewachsenen Thuja plicata erwies sich im Kolleschalen-Versuch (Lutomski u. Raczkowski) als sehr widerstandsfähig gegenüber Coniophora puteana, was den bisherigen Erfahrungen mit anderen Herkünften dieser Holzart entspricht. Bei Tropenhölzern ist wegen deren Mannigfaltigkeit eine Qualifizierung schwierig. Nach Oliver and Woods waren in englischen Häfen folgende Holzarten sehr widerstandsfähig gegenüber Meerwassertieren, wie Teredo und Limnoria: Afrormosia elata, Cylicodiscus gabunensis, Dicorynia paraensis, Eucalyptus marginata, Eusideroxylon zwageri, Lophira alata, Nauclea diderrichii, Ocotea rodiaei, Pterocarpus soyauxii, Tristania conferta und Xylia dolabriformis.
