Zusammenfassung
Eine der wichtigsten Errungenschaften der vergleicüenden Physiologie und Biochemie gipfelt in dem Nachweis, daß sich der Intermediär- und Energie-Stoffwechsel in allen Organismen, seien es Mikroben, Pflanzen oder Tiere, in identischer Weise vollzieht (Krebs u. Kornberg 1957). Hier repräsentiert sich die Einheit des Lebens als Einheit des Stoffwechsels.
