Zusammenfassung
Das Guillain-Barré-Syndrom (GBS) wird auch als akute idiopathische Polyneuritis bezeichnet. Es ist die häufigste Erkrankung für akut auftretende generalisierte Paresen mit einer Inzidenz von 1,5 bis 2 Erkrankungen pro 100.000 Einwohner, wobei die Ursache der Erkrankung nicht eindeutig bekannt ist.
