Zusammenfassung

Das einzigartige pharmakologische und klinische Profil von Clozapin ist in zahlreichen Untersuchungen beschrieben worden, an der antipsychotischen Wirkung bei nur diskreten motorischen Nebenwirkungen besteht kein Zweifel (s. Übersichten von Fitton u. Heel 1990; Baldessarini u. Frankenburg 1991; Saffer-mann et al. 1991). Nachdem in den letzten Jahren nicht nur in den USA, sondern auch in den meisten europäischen Ländern Clozapin zur Behandlung therapiere-sistenter schizophrener Patienten zugelassen ist, besteht international ein großes Interesse an den bisherigen Erfahrungen mit Clozapin. Für die Psychiatrische Universitätsklinik München sind die Daten zu Wirksamkeit und Verträglichkeit, retrospektiv erhoben, bereits mehrfach publiziert worden (Naber u. Hippius 1990; Naber et al. 1992), in die folgende Untersuchung wurden die Daten von 300 weiteren Patienten einbezogen.
