Zusammenfassung

Als Hypourikämie werden Serumharnsäurekonzentrationen unter 2,0 mg/dl bezeichnet. Es handelt sich um eine willkürlich festgelegte Grenze, die mittels biochemischer oder physikochemischer Methoden nicht begründet werden kann. Dementsprechend halten sich nicht alle Autoren daran. Bei mitteleuropäischen gesunden Männern liegt unter Normalkost die Grenze zur Hypourikämie um mehr als drei Standardab weichungen unterhalb des statistischen Mittelwerts der Serumharnsäure, bei Frauen nahe der unteren 2S-Grenze (Zöllner 1963; Griebsch u. Zöllner 1973; Löffler et al. 1989b). Tabelle 5.9 gibt eine Übersicht über die Häufigkeit der Hypourikämie in verschiedenen Ländern und bei verschiedenen Bevölkerungsgruppen.
