Abstract
The „Medizinische Diagnose Unterstützende Computer“ MEDIUC system was originally developed by PIRTKIEN and WINCHENBACH. Software redesign, knowledge representation, inclusion of production rules and the inference machine are my part as well as the actual technical support /PIRTKIEN, GIERE 1971/. The development of the new gastroenterological database was a joint effort of both of us and some medical students, PIRTKIEN being the medical expert /PIRTKIEN et al. 1984/.
