Elasticity of Percolative Systems

Abstract

We determined the elastic behavior of a 2D-system made of metal and voids. Near the percolation threshold, we found that C11 and C44 go to zero with the same exponent, T = 3.5 ± 0.4, much larger than the conductivity exponent. Near p ~ 0, our results are in agreement with the effective medium theory (EMT).
