20 Years of Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring: A Review

Zusammenfassung

Als Folge der Contergan Katastrophe wurden in den vergangenen 20 Jahren spezielle Verfahren zur systematischen Suche, Erfassung und Auswertung von unerwünschten Arzneimittelwirkungen entwickelt. Die wichtigsten Ansätze wie Intensive Drug Monitoring, Medical Record Linkage, Registered Release, Geweberegister und Spontanerfassung werden kurz beschrieben. Anhand der Kriterien: Beobachtete Population, beobachtete Medikamente, Art der erfaßten unerwünschten Reaktion, Beobachtungsdauer und Qualität der Daten wird eine Beurteilung der bisherigen Leistungen dieser Verfahren versucht. Abschließend wird auf den Einfluß der Arzneimittelüberwachung auf Verschreibungsgewohnheiten und Patientenverhalten eingegangen.
