Abstract

The cost development in health care delivery has stimulated discussions about possible steering mechanisms to reduce the increase in cost and to insure quality of care. Furthermore, the introduction of data processing technology in all areas of theoretical and practical medicine has brought the structural and organizational problems of institutions and elements of care delivery into focus.
