Abstract

In the preceding Chapter we have analyzed the equations of motion and their coefficients — transition rates- using a comparatively simple model presented by the Hamiltonian (4.1) or (4.8). These Hamiltonians were used in the literature for description of various radiationless processes. In Chapter II the electron transfer and energy transfer were presented as examples of the processes which may be modeled by these Hamiltonians. The whole consideration of Chapter IV was based on the assumption that the interaction energy V in (4.8) is a small quantity. The exact meaning of this assumption will be analyzed in the next Section 4.2.
