Abstract
A recent survey made for the European Community (Willems and Peperstraete, 1978) has indicated that only a limited number of computer based monitoring system are in clinical application in Europe. We feel therefore justified to describe in some detail one of such system which has been developed since 1973 and is in routine application since February 1975 at the clinics of the Université Catholique de Louvain now in Brussels (Clinics St Luc).
