Abstract
Shifts in the global economic order, particularly in the high-technology area, are highlighting the dependence of Canada’s economy on foreign-managed and owned know-how. The Science Council is urging the country’s governments and industries to move together to promote the indigenous innovation needed to interact as a mature partner in the increasingly interdependent world scene.
