On Some Equivalence Between Control Theory and Decision-Making Theory

  • Chapter
Current Topics in Cybernetics and Systems

Abstract

The authors will try to examine the behaviour of a human decision-maker in a process control task. The description of such a situation expressed in general terms may be employed for solving many other behavioural decision problems. In this context the mutually complementing functions of psychology and automatic control theory will become obvious. Fuzzy set theory is applied for solving the problem.
