Abstract

We shall extend in this paper the class of all fuzzy subsets of a set, in such a way that they will correspond to some preference relations. This procedure is used to generate fuzzy sets from orderings. Then applications of this idea to fuzzy optimization are given. These problems are also related to multiobjective decision-making.
