Morphology of Animal Secretory Gland Cells

Abstract

The ability of gland cells to produce a secretion is associated with certain characteristic features in their morphology. In this paper, confined to mammalian gland cells, only those structures will be discussed, which are believed to be more or less directly involved in the secretory processes.
