Zusammenfassung
Das arteriovenöse Pulmonalisaneurysma (a.v.P.), vereinzelt auch arteriovenöse Pulmonalfistel bzw. Lungenangiom oder Pulmonalvarix genannt, wurde erstmals 1897 von Churton auf Grund eines Sektionsbefundes beschrieben. Hier hatte die Ruptur eines solchen Aneurysmas zum Tode des Patienten geführt. Weitere autoptische Befunde stammen von Wilkens (1918), de Lange und de Vries Robles (1923), Wollstein (1931) und Hall (1935). Rodes hat 1938 als erster die Shuntzeichen im kleinen Kreislauf mit dem Bild eines a.v.P. in Einklang gebracht und damit die Diagnostik ein Stück vorangetrieben. Smith und Horton stellten 1939 die erste klinische Diagnose in vivo und bestätigten sie angiokardiographisch. Im gleichen Jahr machte Duvoir den vergeblichen Versuch einer operativen Entfernung, mußte diesen aber schwerer Pleuraverwachsungen wegen aufgeben. In der Folgezeit erschienen nun zahlreiche Einzelveröffentlichungen, sowie Beiträge zur klinischen Symptomatologie und pathologischen Physiologie dieses Gefäßleidens. Hepburn und Dauphinée gelang als ersten die erfolgreiche Pneumonektomie bei einer jungen Frau, die an einem a.v.P. litt. Über weitere Beobachtungen und Erfolge operativer Behandlung berichteten Goldman (1943), Adams, Thornton und Eichelberger (1944), Janes (1944), Snyder und Doan (1944), Alexander (1945), Sisson, Murphy und Newman (1945), Lindgren (1946), Makler und Zion (1946), Beierwaltes und Byron (1947), Bisgard (1947), Boerema und Brilman (1947), Burchell und Clagett (1947), Chapman und Sweet (1947), Giampalmo (1947), Whitaker (1947), Watson (1947), Williams und Flink (1947), Barnes, Fatti und Pryce (1948), Brobeck (1948), Cleland (1948), Goldman (1948), Maier, Himmel-Stein, Riley und Bunin (1948), Moyer und Ackerman (1948), Wodehause (1948), Barker und Trounce (1949), A. und V.
