Abstract
In 1964 geomagnetic pulsations with periods between 50 and 200 seconds have been recorded at Göttingen with a variometer of the Grenet type. By statistical investigation the existence of a specific type of pulsations has been shown. During daytime, pulsations with periods of about 1 minute are relatively frequent. Nevertheless, it should be noted that these pulsations are considerably less frequent than are the well-known pc 3-pulsations with periods of about 30 seconds. Furthermore, the above-mentioned pulsations have remarkably large amplitudes, which increase systematically with increasing geomagnetic activity.
