Abstract
The human material used in the present study was fixed by immersion in 10–15% formaldehyde with the brain supported in solution by a thread passed about the basilar artery or tied to the stumps of the carotid arteries. The period of fixation before celloidin embedding was usually four weeks. The reason for avoiding injection fixation in autopsy material is discussed below.
