Abstract
The project, to which the scenario activities contributed, is called „WasserKultur“ (Ipsen et al. 1998). As part of research activities on urban ecology the project brings together issues from civil engineering, geography, sociology, town planning, and the arts. Hence, research teams are located within different disciplinary „cultures“, such as natural or social sciences; this creates certain difficulties with respect to communication among project teams and to a common topic of project elaboration.
