Abstract

In the present investigation, 304 male and female Wistar rats of different ages were used for a morphological, histochemical and experimental study of the structural development and the chemodifferentiation of the jejunum. The object of the experimental studies was to detect the moment the jejunum is capable of functioning and to elucidate the factors that affect the enzymatic differentiation of the intestine.
