Psychic Dependence

Part of the book series: Bayer-Symposium ((BAYER-SYMP,volume 4))

Abstract

When this international Symposion on Psychic Dependence was planned, Dr. Nathan Eddy was asked to participate. He gracefully accepted not only to serve as a distinguished Honorary President of the Symposion, but also agreed to present a paper reviewing the whole field of dependence. All of us will remember his masterly conceived paper, his contribution to the discussions, his clear, logical, far-reaching and often witty comments, and his praise when praise was due, his presence, as always, being one of the highlights of the meeting.
