Zusammenfassung
Unter einer Virusembryopathie verstehen wir den Folgezustand einer Viruserkrankung des menschlichen Keimlings im Verlaufe der Embryogenese. Mit dieser Bezeichnung wird zum Ausdruck gebracht, daß der Embryo auf Schädigungen anders reagiert als der geborene Mensch. Begriffe der Pathologie dürfen nicht auf die Verhältnisse vor der Geburt übertragen werden. Dies gilt ganz besonders für den Begriff „Entzündung“ oder „entzündliche Reaktion“.
