Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel wird eine Gruppe von Hormonen besprochen, zu deren Funktion die rasche Umstellung v. a. der energieliefernden Stoffwechselprozesse an geänderte Anforderungen gehört. Insulin als das wichtigste anabole Hormon des Organismus ist für die Regulation von Substrataufnahme und Speicherung in einer Reihe von Geweben essentiell. Glucagon ist einer seiner direkten Gegenspieler und für die Umstellung auf fehlende Nahrungszufuhr verantwortlich. Die Catecholamine schließlich sind die wichtigsten Hormone für die rasche Mobilisierung von gespeicherten Substraten und spielen eine wesentliche Rolle bei der Reaktion des Organismus auf Strßsituationen.
