Zusammenfassung
Obwohl das obere Sprunggelenk durch direkte Krafteinwirkung wie einen Schlag gegen den Knöchel oder eine Schußverletzung verletzt werden kann, wird die Mehrheit der Mal-leolarfrakturen durch indirekte Mechanismen verursacht, mit Subluxation oder Verschiebung des Talus aus der Knöchelgabel heraus. Gewisse Frakturformen gehen immer mit typischen Ligamentrupturen bzw. mit Abrißfrakturen der Bandansatzstellen einher.
