Zusammenfassung
Murines Fleckfieber ist eine Krankheit der Nagetiere und des Menschen. Sie tritt nur in den Tropen und Subtropen auf. Der Erreger, Rickettsia mooseri, wird durch Rattenflöhe auf den Menschen übertragen. Das Krankheitsbild entspricht einem milde verlaufenden klassischen Fleckfieber. Todesfälle sind selten, Rückfälle treten nicht auf; Dauerschäden sind nicht bekannt. Die Krankheit hinterläßt eine postinfektiöse Kreuzimmunität mit klassischem Fleckfieber.
