Hefepilze als Krankheitserreger bei Mensch und Tier

Zusammenfassung

Durch Candida albicans werden beim Menschen papillomatöse, hyperkeratotische, papulo-nodöse und ulcero-vegetierende Veränderungen auf der Haut sowie auf der hautnahen Schleimhaut verursacht. Die Erscheinungen unterscheiden sich voneinander insofern, als beim Säugling, beim Kleinkind und bei Kindern ein cutanes Granulom auftritt, welches beim Erwachsenen zumeist fehlt. Beiden Verlaufsformen gemeinsam sind die beträchtlichen Alterationen der Oberhaut mit oft grotesker Hauthornbildung.
