Als technische Magnetisierungskurve bezeichnen wir den (im allgemeinen nicht eindeutigen) Zusammenhang zwischen dem wirksamen Feld H und der in Feldrichtung gemessenen Magnetisierung I bzw. Induktion B bei statischer oder quasistatischer Messung. Das I-H-Diagramm entspricht der physikalischen Betrachtungsweise, das B-H-Diagramm der technischen.
