Zusammenfassung
Zur Feststellung des Absorptionsverhaltens der organischen Farbstoffe wird vor allem deren Lösungsspektrum bestimmt, denn die Aufnahme des eigentlichen, dem Molekül zugehörigen Spektrums ist praktisch nur schwer zu realisieren, da die Überführung in den Gaszustand bei niederen Drucken und hohen Temperaturen häufig von einer Zersetzung des Farbstoffs begleitet wird. Als Ausnahme sind nur Merocyanine, Indigo und verschiedene Rhodamine bekannt, die infolge intramolekularer Neutralisation eine zersetzungsfreie Sublimation ermöglichen.
