Zusammenfassung

Die Wirkungsweise der Sulfonylharnstoffe im Kohlenhydratstoffwechsel ist noch nicht vollständig geklärt. Es wurden mehrere Theorien aufgestellt (Literatur bei 9, 25, 30,40):

  1. a)

    Extrapankreatischer Angriff mit Ruhigstellung der B-Zellen (4, 10, 52),

  2. b)

    Hemmung der Funktion der A-Zellen (6, 19, 20, 28),

  3. c)

    Hemmung des Insulinabbaues (56, 57),

  4. d)

    Steigerung der Sekretion von Insulin (1, 12, 15, 22, 29, 38, 48, 49, 63, 64, 65, 66).
