Abstract
The first treatment is often hormonal therapy with HCG, and more recently with GnRH, since waiting for spontaneous descent carries unacceptable hazards. Operative intervention is the second line of treatment, either by orchio pexy or, less often, by orchiectomy. Certain cases may best be managed by no treatment at all.
