A Rule-Based Interpretation of Contour Patterns with Curves

  • Conference paper
Book cover Computer Graphics

Abstract

A method of rule-based Interpretation of curved patterns is presented. A production system formalization which is one of knowledge engineering methodologies is employed to facilitate the systematic utilization of relevant knowledge including the model representation of object patterns and some of heuristics for efficient inference. To achieve a flexible matching between the model and observed pattern, a certainty measure is introduced in the interpretation.
