Abstract
During the past few years we have developed high resolution techniques for investigation of the structural and hemodynamic changes in cerebral blood flow on the exposed brain. The colour fluorescein photographic techniques of ciné films (24 frames per sec) and rapid sequence (3 per sec) single frames with a 1% Fluorescein solution injected into the carotid artery provide fine details of flow patterns in small cerebral vessels and in the cortical capillary bed on the surface of the brain [2].
