Absolute Measurement of Brain Blood Flow Using Non-Diffusible Isotopes
We have pursued non-diffusible intravenous tracer techniques because of their safety and simplicity of administration and interpretation. If sufficiently safe and simple to administer, such a technique could be used in population surveys where repeated studies of flow might be desirable. This would allow, for example, prospective studies of stroke-proneness.
