Current status of renal transplantation

Abstract

Recently, clinical investigators have reported encouraging results with the use of renal homografts in the treatment of terminal renal insufficiency (1–4). Improvement in surgical technique and the availability of new immunosuppressive drugs have been largely responsible for this success.
