Zusammenfassung

Vor dieser erlauchten Zuhörerschaft kann ich nicht auftreten, ohne erst meinem alten Freunde K. H. Bauer meine Hochachtung zum Ausdruck gebracht zu haben. (Es folgt eine Schilderung der ersten Begegnung, als Strong im Jahre 1948 vor Mitgliedern der Fakultät und vor der Klinikerschaft im überfüllten Hörsaal einen Vortrag über seine Forschungen hielt).
