Zusammenfassung

In dieser Darstellung der Pathogenese und Epidemiologie der infektiösen Endokarditis sollen als Leitmotive einerseits die interdisziplinäre Auffächerung, andererseits der eindrückliche Gestaltwandel [9–11, 13, 14, 16, 22, 24, 26] dieser Erkrankung hervorgehoben werden.
