Zusammenfassung

Werden die intramitochondrialen Schritte der Biosynthese des Häms blockiert, so kommt es zu einer Akkumulation von Eisen in den Mitochondrien der Erythroblasten. Diese Synthesestörungen beruhen entweder auf angeborenen oder erworbenen Enzymdefekten oder einer exogenen toxischen Schädigung mitochondrialer Enzymsysteme.
