Plötzlicher Herztod

Zusammenfassung

Wenn man von einem gefährdeten Patienten bei der koronaren Herzkrankheit spricht, so meint man damit weniger die Gefahr, einen Infarkt oder Reinfarkt zu erleiden, sondern man befürchtet den plötzlichen Herztod, d. h. den ohne Vorwarnung bzw. ohne vorangehende Beschwerden eintretenden Kreislaufstillstand durch Kammerarrhythmien. Es ist heute kaum bestritten, daß der plötzliche Herztod in der Mehrzahl der Fälle durch tachykarde Kammerarrhythmien verursacht wird. Dabei kommt es nach einer mehr oder weniger langen Kammertachykardie zu einem Kammerflimmern, das, wenn diese lebensbedrohliche Situation nicht innerhalb weniger Minuten behoben wird, zum akuten Herztod führt.
