Das Prinzip der Coulter-Counter-Channelyzer-Meßtechnik beruht auf der Messung der Impedanzänderung während des Durchgangs von Partikeln, z. B. Kristallen der gemessenen Suspension, durch feine Kapillare mit definierter Geometrie. Die Impulshöhe ist dem Partikelvolumen direkt proportional.
