Numerical Simulation in Quantum Field Theory

  • Chapter
Computational Physics

Abstract

An introductory discussion of quantum field theory as the theoretical framework for particle physics and the standard model is given. For the simplified scalar field sector, the lattice formulation and nonperturbative evaluation by Monte Carlo simulation are described. A FORTRAN package is included that allows the simulation of this model for arbitrary dimension.

Software included on the accompanying diskette.
