Thermal Properties and Phase Transition of Ag3AsS3 (Proustite) at Low Temperatures

Thermal conductivity and specific heat of single crystalline Ag3AsS3 are investigated in the temperature range from 2 K to 200 K where 3 phase transition (near 28 K, 49 K and 60 K, respectively) occur. The existence of the incommensurate phase (IC), 49K <T< 60K, is displayed by strong phonon scattering, which disappear in the commensurate (C) phase, below 49 K.
