Abstract

A 66-year-old black man had an abdominal-perineal resection for a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of the rectum, stage C2. Hepatic metastases were proven by biopsy. Fourteen months postoperatively, a local pelvic recurrence was given 3000 cGy in ten fractions.
