Abstract

During the first year of LEP operation various tests of the standard model have been carried out by four main LEP experiments. The results are in good agreement with the predictions of the minimal standard model with three light neutrino generations. I review the measurements of the parameters of Z0 resonance and a few results of QCD studies. Direct searches for new particles and new phenomena are covered by my fellow speaker Prof. D. Treille.
