Abstract

Since its earliest beginnings psychoanalysis has been a subject for intense discussion. This discussion partly concerned practical matters: psychoanalytic treatment seemed to be lengthy and expensive. Some have been critical of various psychoanalytic concepts, for example those concerning sexuality.
