Abstract

Throughout Part I we consider a system of classical point particles as the microscopic model for fluid and gases. Particles are identical and interact through a short range central potential. They may be confined to a container. We have to introduce the dynamical laws governing the time evolution, paying particular attention to the case of hard spheres and to boundary conditions.
