Continuous Wave Diode Laser Seeding of Tunable Femtosecond Soliton Pulses

Abstract

Using a seed derived from a wavelength-tunable cw diode laser, tunable fundamental solitons with durations as short as 200 fs have been generated via pulsed stimulated Raman amplification from a mode locked Nd:YAG laser.
