Strahlentherapie des Prostatakarzinoms

Die Strahlenbehandlung des Prostatakarzinoms mit kurativer und palliativer Zielsetzung ist seit langem etabliert (Bagshaw et al. 1965; Budhraja u. Anderson 1964; del Regato 1967). Vorwiegend differenzierte Tumoren weisen eine langsame, über viele Monate anhaltende Involution auf. Dies ist an der Rate positiver Biopsien abzulesen, die nach Strahlenbehandlung kontinuierlich abnimmt (van der Werf-Messing 1978).
