Abstract
In order to develop ideas for an object-oriented graphics system for the manipulation of a part hierarchy more tangible, we introduce the system GEO++ (Graphics System with Editable Objects, Version 2). Previous (incomplete) specifications of GEO++ have been described in Wisskirchen, 1986b, concentrating on a modification of the PHIGS structure concept, and in Wisskirchen, 1989, introducing the overall concept of GEO++, but less complete and without considering the potential of inheritance.
